미국에서 주 공무원을 위협하면 처벌

THREATENING A STATE EMPLOYEE IS UNLAWFUL AND MAY RESULT IN A FINE AND/OR IMPRISONMENT.

• A first conviction is punishable by a fine not exceeding ten thousand dollars ($10,000) or by imprisonment in the state prison, or in a county jail not exceeding one year, or both such fine and imprisonment.
• If you have previously been convicted of a violation of this section, such a conviction is punished by imprisonment in the state prison.

2018년 봄에 California의 어느 DMV 게시판에 붙어 있던 안내문입니다. 주정부 공무원을 위협하는 사람에 대해서는 처음이라면 주 형법 71조에 따라 1만달러 이내의 벌금형 또는 1년 이하 징역형, 또는 두가지 모두입니다. 만약 두번 이상이라면 벌금형은 아니고 징역형입니다.
